The State of Cybersecurity

According to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the global cost of cybercrime reached almost $1 trillion in 2020. In just the first few months of 2021, cyberattacks continue to be frequent and costly. While Secure Access Service Edge isn’t just about remote users, it does provide security for users connecting from anywhere. SASE is a combination of solutions that provide well-rounded security across your organization to meet the demands of today. Meeting a SASE framework involves:

• Secure Web Gateway: a solution that filters malware from web traffic and enforces regulatory policy compliance.

• Data Loss Prevention: DLP prevents potential data loss by monitoring and blocking sensitive data that is in use, in motion, or at rest.

• Zero Trust Network Access: ZTNA creates an identity-based access boundary around applications to restrict access to only include a set of authorized users.

• SSL Inspection: this is the process of receiving and reviewing SSL encrypted information between clients and servers. This is a way to find malicious activity on encrypted communication channels.

• Cloud Access Security Broker: CASB is a software the sits between users of cloud services and the cloud application that monitors the activity between the cloud and on-premises, enforcing security policies to the cloud.

• Web Isolation: browser isolation is a solution that contains web browsing activity in an isolated environment to protect devices from threats like malware.
